Chapel Street Car Park Blackpool (Closed)

Chapel Street car park has closed. Blackpool Council shut it for the Blackpool Central development, and the nearest places to park now are the two Central car parks next door.

Where to park instead

  • Central multi-storey: entered from Seasiders Way and Chapel Street (satnav FY1 5QE). 1,306 spaces, covered, open 7am to midnight.
  • Central surface car park: on Central Drive (satnav FY1 5QB). Open 24 hours.
  • Bonny Street: a few minutes away by the promenade (satnav FY1 5AR). Open 24 hours.

The council's tariff at all three is £4.50 for 2 hours, £7.20 for 4 hours and £19.60 for 24 hours, checked in October 2026.

Why did Chapel Street close?

Blackpool Council closed it as part of the Blackpool Central development, the leisure scheme planned on the land around the old Central station site. The council's own page for the car park now says it no longer exists.
