Parking Blackpool

Secure Parking in Blackpool

Most car parks in Blackpool are open surface car parks: anyone can walk in, day or night. If you're leaving a car overnight or for a few days, it's worth knowing which ones have barriers, CCTV or staff, and what the Park Mark award means.

What makes a car park secure?

  • Controlled entry: a barrier or gate, so vehicles can't come and go freely
  • CCTV: cameras that cover the bays, not only the entrance
  • Staff: someone on site during opening hours
  • Lighting: bays lit after dark
  • Lock-up: the car park is closed and locked outside opening hours

Few car parks have all five. A lock-up is the most secure, but you can only collect your car during opening hours.

What is Park Mark?

Park Mark, the Safer Parking Scheme, is an award managed by the British Parking Association. Car parks are assessed for measures that reduce crime, such as lighting, CCTV and how they're managed. Search parkmark.co.uk for car parks that currently hold the award.

Blackpool Secure Car Park, Hornby Road

Blackpool Secure Car Park is a private lock-up at 109–115 Hornby Road, FY1 4QP. This website began as that car park's website, but the car park has since changed hands. It's now a separate business: this guide isn't connected to it and can't take bookings. Check its Google listing for current opening hours and prices before you travel.
