How much it costs

The council's motorhome parking page gives a year-round tariff of £12.50 per 24 hours at these car parks. Its individual car park pages give £12.90, so check the machine or the app when you pay.

You can pay at the machines (card, contactless or coins, no change given) or with PayByPhone. Use the motorhome code for your car park:

  • Banks Street: 803809
  • Gynn Square: 803825
  • Lytham Road: 803828
  • Seasiders Way: 803832

Overnight stays

The council allows overnight sleeping in its motorhome car parks. You can't use or set up any outdoor equipment: no seating, awnings or washing lines.

Some other council car parks, such as Cocker Street and Lonsdale Road, ban overnight sleeping, so stick to the car parks above.

Where you can't park a motorhome

  • On-street pay and display bays: not allowed for motorhomes of any size, even with a Blue Badge and clock
  • Loading bays, taxi ranks and bus stops
  • Princes Way: no longer allowed. The bays there are now for coaches and cars only.
  • The Pleasure Beach car parks: the Pleasure Beach says it can't take caravans or mobile homes

Height limits to watch

  • Seasiders Way: the car park has no height limit, but parts of Seasiders Way do. The council says to turn right when you leave.
  • Gynn Square: the 1.9m limit applies to the car area. Motorhomes use the coach bays.
  • South car park: has height barriers. Its coach bays are only opened at the busiest times.
  • Lytham Road: no height limit.

Busy times

At peak times, the council can switch Seasiders Way between cars only and coaches only. Motorhomes can park when it's open to coaches. Arrive early on Illuminations weekends and bank holidays.

For dispensations, or to report a problem, call the council's parking dispatch office on 01253 476395.
