If your show could finish late, pick a car park that will still be open when you walk back. Alfred Street is the closest that never closes, with South King Street, Central and Bonny Street as backups.
The Winter Gardens' Coronation Street entrance has lift access to the main areas, and it's the closest entrance to Houndshill.
South King Street is cheaper, at £3.10 for 2 hours and £6.20 for 4. Alfred Street car park

Christmas and winter shows
From late November to early January, the Winter Gardens and Opera House host Christmas concerts and shows, while the nearby Grand Theatre runs its pantomime from 4 December to 3 January. The Illuminations are still on too, so town-centre car parks get busy on December evenings and weekends.
- Evening shows: check the finish time on your ticket. If it's before 11pm, every car park in the list works. For anything later, use Alfred Street, Central or Bonny Street.
- Panto nights: the Grand Theatre sells West Street parking vouchers to its audiences, so West Street can fill up on panto evenings. Houndshill and Alfred Street are just as close to the Winter Gardens.
Talbot Road multi-storey

Cheapest parking near Winter Gardens
Houndshill on Coronation Street (FY1 4NY) costs £3 for 2 hours and £5 for 4 hours, less than the council car parks. It closes at 11.30pm, so it suits matinees and early evening shows.
Free parking options
Event nights make free parking especially unrealistic near Winter Gardens. Short-stay bays and inland side streets exist, but they're competitive and time-limited.
Event night tips
Winter Gardens hosts a big calendar of events: shows at the Opera House, the Empress Ballroom, World Matchplay Darts, Rebellion, dance festivals and conferences. On those dates:
- Arrive earlier than you think you need to
- Check your car park's closing time against when the show ends
- Use Bonny Street as plan B if Central is full
- Don't count on street parking
If you're also seeing something at the Grand Theatre, you can usually park once and walk between venues.

Follow the M55 into Blackpool, then the signs for the town centre and the Tower. For an all-night car park close to the venue, set your satnav to Alfred Street (FY1 4LA), with Central (FY1 5QB) as a backup.
